In Bling We Trust
I started a new line of jewelry based on my work pavé setting into coins. Check it out on my etsy store.
New Etsy Store for fine art works
I opened a new Etsy store in which I sell work more closely related to my fine art projects, such as the Blue Hawaii postcards, the book Small Change Project #1-25, and buttons of the quarters. It's at celestechristie.etsy.com. I also opened a store for Art for a Democratic Society, where we sell zines and buttons, at a4ds.etsy.com.
The Hare and the Hounds
It's a scavenger hunt, it's a gallery show, it's a scavenger hunt, it's a gallery show....oh I can't decide! In this show at Blue Space Gallery, artists put work up that references other pieces hidden somewhere in the Mission District. Purchase an artist-made map and you get directions to finding another piece. For those of you who always say, "I wish I could find one of your quarters," here's your chance! Check out "Love Money" on my portfolio page to see what I've made for the show.

Etsy Store
You may already know that I have an etsy store for my accessories and jewelry design, but I just opened an Etsy store for items more closely associated with my fine art work, like buttons based on "Small Change Project" and my "Blue Hawaii Postcards." Check it out at celestechristie.etsy.com.
My book is out!
Small Change Project #1-25 is now available for sale at lulu.com.
You can see a preview of the book on the site. It includes the photographs from all 25 transactions, diary entries, and the how-to brochure, "How to Make Small Change." There's also a statement about the project and a short bio. Check it out!
Post-Postcard 11

POST-POSTCARD 11
The 11th Annual Small Format Art Sale

The LAB is pleased to present Post-Postcard 11, the eleventh annual exhibition and sale. For this open-invitational exhibition, artists are encouraged to submit small format multiples--whether that be a series of hand-made paintings or a stack of production run postcards. Post-Postcard challenges artists to stretch the parameters of media and conceptual strategies by doing what they do best--subverting and manipulating a theme to their own ends. From November 30th through December 8th, hundreds of small format editions will be on view as the gallery is transformed into a bazaar-like bargain-hunter's paradise, just in time for holiday shopping. Art lovers can explore original works and discover hidden gems at affordable prices while supporting emerging artists and a great alternative art space.

Fixed-price work will be available for $1 to $30 (cash, checks, VISA or MasterCard accepted). Become a member of The LAB and get a chance to preview the sale in our gallery Friday, November 30, from 5-6 PM.
